Ventana El Terramoto Frames and Bikes

Since we have been building bikes almost exclusively in this range of travel for a very long time, the perfect Dreamride kit is ready, tested over the past five years to be balanced, without maintenance headaches, light and strong and looking as good as it gets. The Terramoto was designed for North Shore-style ramp riding, so we made changes to the kit for those who will be doing just that. If you are NOT ramp riding, but looking for a long travel trail bike, check out the Fully or Mutant. With El Terramoto in the stable, there are now three geometry variants in four bar frames designed specifically for 6" of travel, allowing diversification at a suspension travel setting we consider perfect for most uses. If you are looking to ride the bike in every situation as your main rig, we recommend the Fully. If you want a trail bike capable of hucking, but with quick handling and high bottom bracket for pedaling over big rocks and roots, get the Mutant. If you are specifically looking at North Shore ramp riding and stunts, and want a bike that is more stable at speed, the El Terramoto, with its slack angles and low bb, is most suitable for jumping, flopping and fast downhill coasting. If you want to go extreme, La Bruja is Terramoto's big sister.

XDream Trail Kit 2007 VERSION OF A KIT DESIGNED FOR NORTH SHORE RIDING.
For the El Terramoto, the XDT is a perfect fit. This XDT blend leans completely into medium freeride, North Shore style. It is for jumping, hucking ramps onto flat landings, and will travel to and from without complaint--not too heavy to ride around on, but will land a good flop with the confidence and comfort of solid feel. The top of the bike is light without sacrificing strength. The wheels and drivetrain are strong without compromise. The fork chosen for the El Terramoto frame is a Marzocchi Z-1 ETA, perfectly matching the Fox DHX 5.0 coil shock in travel and feel. Headset is Chris King Steelset. Wheels are our very best and strongest--AlterEgo--Mavic XM729 rims Chris King hubs with solid bolt-on axles and stainless freehub body, 32X14 gauge DT spokes and brass nipples. This is the only frame aside from our own X-frame Fully HD that is graced by this Moab-tested parts kit.
