The quality of the Moots Rigor Mootis frame is a picture of the simple beauty that drove us in Moots' direction. One look at the welds, dropouts, and wishbone stays, and you will agree that a titanium mountain bike just doesn't get any better. Titanium is THE material for a hardtail frame and the Moots Rigor Mootis is the best hardtail frame we could find. A 17" frame weighs in at 3.25 pounds. A Dreamride Rigor Mootis Max weighs 19 to 22 pounds. The Rigor Mootis frame is available in seven standard sizes, as well as highly recommended custom fitting options. Tubing is size specific, which means that each frame size is designed for the rider, not to maximize profits by reducing production costs. You can opt for disc brake only, rim brakes only, or a combination. You can choose additional water bottle mounts or other custom frame touches. The Rigor Mootis becomes a singlespeed, the Moots Uno, when you opt for Slider Dropouts on a Rigor Mootis.

The XDreamMax is our "over the top" decadent cross country bike build, dead-set to satisfy the obsessed gearhead. The Rigor Max features Fox F-series fork (option for Magura, Rock Shox or Marzocchi equivalent, or rigid White Brothers), Magura disc brakes (there is the option for Marta Magnesium [MT8 carbons will be here in July of 2011], standard Marta or Paul or XTR rim brakes with this build) and the Moots titanium stem, seatpost and flat bar (Dreamride/Moots custom flat bar is available for those who want the feel of a riser without the weight). We spare no expense to bring weight down without compromising strength or performance. If you are looking for the absolute lightest Rigor Mootis, we still offer the option for a "XDream Superlite" build with Paul rim brakes, SuperLite wheelset and a rigid White Brothers carbon fork. A complete XTR or SRAM XX (choose triple or double chainrings) drivetrain is flawless (substitute XT to save a bit of money with no loss in performance). We offer the option to use an FSA K-Force Lite crankset for further weight savings at no additional charge. Max rolls on our own light, strong, handbuilt SuperEgo wheelset based on stunning Chris King ISO hubs. Don't be fooled by factory-built wheelsets that look trick but fold, bust or fail under hard use and end up being warranty nightmares. Handbuilt is best and the warranty on King hubs has no equal. Each Max bike is completely unique to the individual. Parts modifications, frame construction and finish vary based on personal rider weight, desires and demands. Expect the complete bike to come in at around 22 pounds, depending on YOUR weight.
Singlespeed version of the MAX kit with Chris King hubs is the same price as the geared version.

Custom Dreamride
The Moots Gristle bike above and below are the same bike with an additional optional wheelset. This project was custom designed to replicate our Dreamride White Rim ti bike with a Moots quality frame for a specific client and his special needs. As a result this bike can be converted from a 69er with a suspension fork to a full 29 wheel set up with road tires and a rigid fork. This is accomplished without any problems or geometry quirks. Get the best of all worlds, off road and street. This is a fine handling off-road bike with all the advantages of both wheel sizes that converts into a city bike with 700c wheels.
