Best Road Racing Frames Available, Period!
If you thought steel was obsolete as a material for bike frames, look again. While you are looking, remember that Tom Boonen won the green jersey in 2007 on a Pegoretti with his sponsor's logo on it. A lot of pros would rather race on a Pegoretti, but they are tied to their carbon fiber disposables by corporate sponsors selling a Chinese fabricated bike that literally costs less than 15% of the retail price to produce! Dario Pegoretti's passion, knowledge, caring and obsession are incredibly rare at this point in time and, in Dario's case, this means performance attributes to die for and looks that kill. His intricately crafted frames are canvases for some of the most amazing pop art to grace a practical tool. Dario produces personalized objects of desire to pass down to your cycling grandchildren as one would pass down a precious antique or work of fine art. For an art collector, this is a fine way to own a piece of art for a very, very reasonable price and be able to go really fast on it. Lee Bridgers, company owner, is an artist, has three Fine Art degrees, taught and lectured fine art at colleges and universities around the world and has had one-man shows as a painter, performance artist and filmmaker. A Sentimental Favorite!
Miki Musiek (now Miki Bridgers, Dreamride co-owner) sat in her front yard in Genk, Belgium, waiting for Eddy. It was a special day in this sleepy mining town when the Tour was routed in front of the family home. It went like this: After picnics in the yard and the neighborhood's frenzied wait, Eddy appeared, zipping past to constant screams, "Eddieeee." The crowd slowly settled down, then after half an hour, the peloton whizzed past. This was back when bicycle racing was instinct and pure genetics, not radios, helicopters or million dollar time trial bikes and steroid teams with strange looking bodies, and lies, lies, lies. Dreamride Special Edition bikes, marked by the jumping coyote logo in this on-line CATALOG, begin with a thorough interview/evaluation to determine correct frame style choice, fit, appropriate parts combination, special modifications, price considerations and personalized cosmetics. Our bikes are based on tested, no-compromise component formulas, carefully manipulated to suit specific terrain, use, climate and riding style. Each bike is completely built, then partially disassembled and carefully packed into a hardshell flight case (most road bikes will not fit into the case due to the size of bars and shifter sets, so we ship those wrapped in plumbing insulation foam tubing and placed into bike boxes). The package is shipped to your door via UPS ground (rapid shipment is available for rush orders). Each DSE purchase is followed by toll free tech support. Some builds get a personal on-line manual and invitations to Moab events. 29er Fever
29 INCH WHEELS are not for everyone, but if you fit the size range (over 5'7") and the terrain you ride suits the performance window, you will be extremely happy with the performance of a 29er or 700c cross bike. Those big wheels are a great way to return to the purity of a fully rigid or short travel front suspended bicycle! We have been researching 29 inch wheels over the past decade. The time has arrived to crown 9ers (and, even better still, 69ers) as the best platform for light cross country to all mountain riding. Colaborations with Moots and Ventana have led to rigid and suspension custom 69ers, which offer the best of both worlds; a stiff rear wheel and a front wheel that rolls over bumps and debris. For those who want one bike to do everyhing, we offer a 69-29 convertible that is a fine mountain bike and a fast city bike.
